A/B Walk

Witherslack circular ‘A/B’ walk –  8 miles including Wainwright outlying fell summit of Lord Seat (215m).  Led by Jane.

The walk starts and finishes at the Derby Arms just off the A590.

To start we head to Latterbarrow nature reserve and on to a track leading up to Yewbarrow open area where we can stop for a coffee if wanted.

Then on to Witherslack Hall before walking alongside the base of Whitbarrow scar to Bell Rake.

Here there is a short steep climb to take us to the top of the scar where we will find Lords Seat (215 metres) with panoramic views of the Lyth Valley, Lake District fells, and the Howgill Fells.

Then we walk along the top to the end of the scar before descending through woodland to Millside and back to the Derby Arms.
