Become an FRR member for access to monthly walks, social events including weekend walking holidays and seasonal meals.
This year we have a weekend walking holiday to Patterdale in June booked.
A summer meal is arranged for August after the Kettlewell walk, and in late November we are having a Christmas FRR meal at Singleton Lodge.
Membership is £20 per annum for 2024.
Usually 3 walks are arranged each month, with walk leaders for A, B or C category walks.
A walks are the most strenuous, usually between 10 and 15 miles with varying degrees of ascent and difficulty.
B walks tend to be between 8 and 10 miles and are of moderate difficulty.
C walks vary from 5 to 7 miles on relatively flat routes with frequent stops.
On all walks we take our own packed lunches and drinks sufficient for a full day out. Well behaved dogs are welcome.
Our walks are arranged on the 3rd Sunday of each month with coach pick-ups from:
Watson Road Park – 8.15 am
Poulton -Le-Fylde (Garstang Road East bus stop, near Hardhorn Road) – 8.30 am
Church Town or St Michaels – 9.00 am
We aim to start back for home about 4.30pm in winter and by 5.30pm in summer dependent on walks.
Walks cost £15 and are payable one month in advance to secure a seat, preferably by bank transfer.
Cancellations – contact us a week before the walk. It is regretted that cancellations after this day, or failure to turn up on the day, will incur forfeiture of the fare.
