6 miles – Austwick to Feizor via Wharfe. Ascent 232m/760 ft
Leaving from the centre of Austwick we follow paths to Feizor, a very small hamlet with Elaine’s tea rooms. The D walkers could stop here and return to Austwick (3 mile round walk).
Continue up over the hill passing Wharf Wood where lunch us planned with great views. Drop down the hillside en route for an even tinier hamlet called Wharf.
We continue along the paths to the Ford known as ‘Wash Dub’. Here the farmers used to bring their sheep to wash them before shearing them.
Short refreshment stop before the walk up and down fields and lots of stiles back to Austwick and the Game Cock Inn
