Skipton Castle, Skipton Castle Woods and Embsay Reservoir 6 or 7 miles

We start our walk in Skipton and head towards the castle.
We continue through Skipton Woods, a woodland area managed by the Woodland Trust. The woods are home to a variety of flora and fauna, including ancient oak trees, bluebells in the spring, and a diverse range of bird species. Skipton Castle woods celebrates the medieval origins of the wood as a larder and hunting ground for Skipton Castle with pieces of natural wicker sculpture.
Then we walk along Long Dam, a type of weir, towards Embsay Reservoir for lunch.
We can walk around the reservoir (1 mile) or head back to Skipton via the woods.
